The Centre of Integration is proud to announce that we will be offering computer workshops, beginning in the second week of July. These workshops are being offered free of charge to you, the clients and the general public. The computer workshop will be covering Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as a computer basics and Microsoft Internet Explorer workshop.

The workshop schedule is as follows:

Mondays – 11:30 – 12:30 pm – Computer basics and Microsoft Internet Explorer

Tuesdays - 11:30 – 12:30 pm – Microsoft Word 2007

Wednesdays – 11:30 – 12:30 pm – Microsoft Outlook 2007

Thursdays – No Workshops

Fridays – 11:30 – 12:30 pm – Microsoft Excel 2007

The biggest obstacle most immigrants face is lack of fluency in English. The sooner you perfect your english the sooner you will get where you want to go with your career. Speak English wherever you can, especially at home. Take courses in spoken and written English. Once your English has improved, and you are going to that interview, appearance is everything. It is very important. Dress and look professional- jacket and tie, shined shoes, neat and clean appearance. Dressing this way also has a positive benefit for job seekers, it boosts self-confidence and self-esteem.
